Winter Crochet
Here In Perth Western Australia we have had a very cold, wet and long winter. We are now approaching mid-spring and although we've had a few sunny days, it's still cold and showery. On saying that, Spring time here is so beautiful with all the flowers and shrubs in bloom. The blossom on the trees, the vibrant colours of the geraniums and daisies and the beautiful spring bulbs are so amazing. A lot of my inspiration comes from the colours and shapes in the garden.
So with the cold wet weather I've been busy making hats, scraves and gloves. I love my fingerless gloves and couldn't be without them. The pair below are my own creation. I have small hands and wanted to make something that fits snug. I have various pairs which I keep in my handbags, different rooms of the house and in the car so there is always a pair handy where ever I go.
I've also been busy making blankets. I love snuggling up infront of the fire and making something unique. I have family in the UK so as I now head towards summer, they are heading towards winter so I'm busy and in my element making blankets for them. I think I say this every time, I just wish there was more time in the day! This beautiful blanket pattern is by Daisy Farm Crafts. I’ve switched up the colours and added a cute border to make it unique. This was made as a gift for beautiful friend.
