Well here in Australia we are now officially in winter and the hat, scarf and glove weather has definitely begun. 

Everybody loves a slouchy beanie and I love making them. With this one I thought I'd try a different style and I'm pretty pleased with the result. I used superwash merino wool which is an awesome yarn to work with, especially for hats and gloves. The added tassel gives some detail and makes the beanie a bit different. 

This beanie could be made with any type of 8ply yarn and is suitable to wear in all seasons. I'm going to give it a try in 8ply cotton which will be a lighter beanie for summer. 

I have scribbled down the pattern and will write it up when I'm not busy crafting and making ;)
